🍿 Superman
A return to form (I think)
No uber complicated plot, a complete story on its own, and just a literal hero remembering why he does what he does
I love the fact that even Superman, as super as he is, still doubted himself after hearing his biological parents’ full message to him. For a second, he battled with the idea that he wasn’t really good, that his biological parents and others were right in saying that he was made to rule over Earth and everyone in it. It’s a movie so he can’t dwell too much on it but the fact that he doubted himself proves that he is indeed a good man because a good man doesn’t let anyone else define himself except for his own choices, actions, and conscience
If only the real world is as black-and-white as in the movie though. Where the bad people really are bad and the good ones, while they doubt themselves or try to be neutral, they still end up doing the right thing
Nevertheless, I love how in this specific movie, Superman is simple: a good guy who wants to do good for as many people as possible. That’s something everyone can try to be
